Hysterectomy is performed by laparoscopy along with the removal of the ovaries, so if the trans man in this case is thinking of having children with his own genetics, he should freeze eggs before the intervention. In addition to this, we have to perform a partial removal of the vagina and a closure of the rest of the vagina before proceeding with the phalloplasty. Both procedures, or even just the vaginal closure, greatly prolong surgical times, so in this case we will perform the phalloplasty on two consecutive days, generally on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday we will perform the hysterectomy and vaginal closure with the reconstruction of the vulvar urethra, the stethoplasty and the location of the vessels and nerves receiving the phalloplasty and the next day we will directly perform the phalloplasty. In between, the patient will go up to the ward where he can be with his family to resume the intervention the following day. The hospital stay will continue to be 8 days in general.
